About our
Missions
Inspired by Acts 1:8, our mission is to be witnesses for Christ, starting in our local community and reaching to the ends of the earth. We are called to share the good news of Jesus through our words and actions.
We accomplish this through giving and serving. We are dedicated to supporting and partnering with local ministries and global missionaries who are actively working to make disciples and share the Gospel with every nation.
In 2025, rather than taking a trip to serve elsewhere, we spent a week dedicating our time and talents to serving those within our community. We served with ministries such as Feeding God’s Lambs, Hope4One, Crescendo Living Ministries, Life Care of Cleveland, and the Tennessee Baptist Children’s Home.
Throughout the year, we also support local and global ministries such as Samaritan’s Purse Operation Christmas Child, New Hope Pregnancy Center’s Walk for Life, SETHRA food boxes, and missionaries in several countries across the globe.
In the Church
Love Never Fails Ministry
One of the newer missions at Boanerges is a blessed ministry called “Love Never Fails.” In keeping with the ministries of our church to both engage in service and uphold the Great Commission — “And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.” (Matthew 28:18–20) — this ministry was inspired by Psalm 41:1: “Blessed is he that considereth the poor; the Lord will deliver him in time of trouble.”
This ministry provides New Testaments along with the Plan of Salvation and Spiritual Growth Resources, as well as physical items for the homeless and those in need. We are thankful for each tote distributed as a compassionate expression of our true faith in our Almighty God of love.
